SS Palmetto W/ Moon Pendant Necklace.
The Palmetto tree, adopted as the Official State Tree of
South Carolina in 1939, is represented on the state flag
and the State Seal where it is symbolic of the defeat of
the British Fleet by the fort, built of palmetto logs, on
Sullivan's Island.
